2025 Honorees
Eric Torres
Personal Finance Planning

Eric Torres founded a club, founded a fraternity, and found his love for personal financial planning at the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.
He built his collegiate journey on leadership, diversity, professional development, and on the belief that it’s OK to be different.
Once at USF, Torres quickly took initiative. He joined Phi Chi Theta. The business
professional fraternity helped him sharpen his professional development skills. He
attended the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) convention in
Orlando. There he landed a competitive internship with PwC’s Start Internship-Consulting
track.
That internship inspired him to start USF’s ALPFA student chapter to grow and empower
the Latin community at USF.
His passion for finance led him to the Investment Club. He became senior analyst of the financial planning team. Later he co-founded Mu Nu Upsilon, the world’s first financial planning fraternity.
During the summer of 2024, he returned to PwC as a financial services consulting intern. He graduates in May 2025 and has an offer to join PwC full-time in the firm’s Dallas office.
Beyond academics, Torres is committed to service. He and his pledge class raised over $3,000 for Team Seas. That project removed plastic and waste from the ocean. He’s also passionate about keeping the Tampa Bay waterways clean.
His journey at USF reflects his belief in embracing uniqueness — whether through leadership, professional development, or philanthropy. He remains dedicated to empowering others. He hopes to inspire future generations to embrace their individuality and create opportunities for growth.
