Kegan Hood
Marketing

Kegan Hood has an inspiring ability to uplift those around him.
He's also known for his skill at planning, executing and managing big initiatives.
He organized a two-day regional conference for the American Marketing Association at USF. The event had a long list of speakers and panelists. He also played a critical role in the ScramBULL golf tournament. That event raised over $26,000 in 2024.
He's proud of his work on the social impact committee for the student organization. As the assistant director, he helped organize 13 outreach events in one semester.
“This was my first true exercise in leadership, as I learned the importance of delegation and empowering others to achieve shared goals,” he said.
That success propelled him to serve as co-executive vice president. In that role, he mentored a 32-member executive board. He also made changes to increase efficiency. He created a “Living To-Do List” that empowered members to take ownership of their projects.
Hood’s commitment to service began in high school. He volunteered over 300 hours at his local library. The experience ignited a passion for making a difference. That passion carried over at USF.
Hood is applying his marketing expertise in the field. He serves as a marketing intern at DCE Productions. One of his key projects is promoting the Synapse Summit. He's gaining hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy and event promotion.
With a 3.94 GPA and a passion for leadership, he continues to seek opportunities to create meaningful impact in marketing and beyond.
