NASA testing USF technology for possible use on the moon
A technology created at USF could help enable the establishment of a permanent presence on the moon. Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Daniel Yeh has been collaborating with NASA to develop a system that converts human waste into fertilizer and water, which would allow astronauts to grow fresh vegetables in space in a more sustainable way.

The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ will recognize thousands of summer graduates through virtual commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Aug. 8. Nearly 3,000 degrees will be conferred in the university’s second-ever virtual ceremonies, caused by restrictions on large gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic.

An independent, statewide network, FCAN represents a cross-section of more than 700 organizations and institutions devoted to improving college access and success for minorities and other students underrepresented in higher education.
